I graduated from Rock County High School in Bassett, Nebraska in 1991. I graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (emphasis in Music) in 1995. I am very close to earning my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University. I took a break to raise my children and am now considering finishing that degree. I taught at Colfax County School District 5R from 1995-1997. I mainly worked with kindergartners for one year and then taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders the previous year in the two-classroom school. I began working at HPS in 1998. I currently teach Pre-Kindergarten - 6th grade Music at HPS and Kindergarten Music at the Lindsay Attendance Center and sponsor students attending Sing Around Nebraska. I also co-direct/sponsor the Humphrey High One Act team. I love to read and write in my spare time, as well as bake. I direct the Chorister Choir (3rd-6th grades) for the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. I also love to sing - whether anyone is listening to me or not! My family consists of my husband, Kevin, and my children Alex, Will, and Lia. I also claim our spoiled dog, Maggie!
