I graduated from Rock County High School in Bassett, Nebraska, in 1991. I graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (emphasis in Music) in 1995. I took many classes towards a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University. I felt the need to stop and devote more time to raising my own children. I taught at Colfax County School District 5R from 1995-1997. I mainly worked with kindergarteners for one year, and then taught 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders the following year in the two-classroom school. I began working at HPS in 1998. I currently teach Preschool - 6th grade Music at HPS and Kindergarten Music at the Lindsay Attendance Center. I am also the Title 1 teacher for students attending Lindsay Holy Family. I provide some Reading/Language intervention instruction, as well as Music Enrichment activities. I enjoy reading and writing in my spare time, as well as baking. My husband and I like to hike trails and explore nature. I also love to sing - whether anyone is listening to me or not! My family consists of my husband, Kevin, and our three children: son, Alex, and his wife, Becca; son, Will, and his fiancée, Katie; and our daughter, Amelia.
