I graduated from Seward High School. I attended Wayne State College and received a Bachelor of Science in Education with endorsements in Math and Chemistry and a Master of Science Degree in Secondary Administration. I started teaching at HPS in 1994 and teach Math 7, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Chemistry, Transitional Math, Advanced Math. I am also the Assistant Speech Coach, and 8th grade class sponsor. While I’m not working, I enjoy reading, golf, crochet, and spending time with my family. My family includes my husband Darin, our kids Laura and Joseph, and granddaughter, Lily.

I wanted to be a teacher from a very early age. I used to "play school" with my little sister all the time. My dad was a math teacher, and though I never wanted to me a math teacher (because I was already way TOO MUCH like my dad), that's what I ended up being. I have taught well over 30 different classes at Humphrey High School over the years. I have been at HPS the third longest of any of the teachers (only Mr. Brandl and Mrs. Tasa have been here longer.) I have already taught numerous children of my former students, and will assume that it will continue to be that way. My husband is also a teacher, currently in Madison, and he just completed his master's degree in secondary administration. He hopes to get a job as a principal this coming school year. My daughter is also a teacher at Humphrey Public School in the FCS department. My son is a journalism major at Wayne State College.
