I graduated from Seward High School. I attended Wayne State College and received a Bachelor of Science in Education with endorsements in Math and Chemistry and a Master of Science Degree in Secondary Administration. I started teaching at HPS in 1994 and teach Math 7, Algebra I, Applied Math, Geometry, Transitional Math, Algebra II, and Advanced Math; Assistant Speech Coach, Senior Class Sponsor, and PIPSS Coordinator. I am also the Assistant Speech Coach and 8th-grade class sponsor. While I’m not working, I enjoy crocheting, reading, golf, watching NFL football (especially Green Bay Packers), watching MLB (especially Kansas City Royals), and watching volleyball. My family includes my husband Darin, our kids Laura and Joseph, and granddaughter, Lily.

I wanted to be a teacher from a very early age. I used to "play school" with my little sister all the time. My dad was a math teacher, and though I never wanted to me a math teacher (because I was already way TOO MUCH like my dad), that's what I ended up being. I have taught well over 30 different classes at Humphrey High School over the years. I have been at HPS the longest of any of the teachers. I have already taught numerous children of my former students and will assume that it will continue to be that way. My husband, Darin, is a PK-12 Principal at HTRS. He lives in Humboldt, NE. My daughter, Laura, is a middle school FCS teacher at LaVista Middle School. My son, Joseph, is a sales consultant at Cellular Advantage in Bellevue. Lily, my granddaughter, is a 6th grader at Westmont Elementary in Omaha. Laura, Lily, and Joseph all live in Bellevue, NE. I'm an EMT with Humphrey Fire and Rescue, I have a deaf rescue dog, Polygon (Poly) who lives with me, and another dog, Tangent, who lives with Darin. I am a breast cancer survivor.
